James Richard Adcock

James Richard Adcock, 54 of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:09 A.M., Saturday, September 28, 2002 in rural Du Quoin.
James was a taxi driver for Daves Taxi Service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Du Quoin. He was a US Army veteran.
James was born September 26, 1948 at Du Quoin, IL the son of Isaac and Emma (Stiller) Adcock.
He married Shirley Robinson on March 6, 1976 at Du Quoin and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, step children- Christopher Robinson, Cathy Morgan and John Morgan all of Du Quoin, brother- Clarence Adcock of Du Quoin, grandchildren- Kelsey, Kyle, Logan and Andrea.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers- Stanley Adcock and Sonny Stiller.
Graveside funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at the Old Du Quoin Cemetery with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
Friends called from 9 to 10 A.M. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery.
Military graveside rites were conducted by Du Quoin VFW Post 513.
